Itz Not Just Cricket
Nothing's more ecstatic than victory, never mind if the competition is between two
teams or it's a one on one. Here's a compilation of some funny, wacky and groovy
celebrations by our cricketers.
_______________________________________________________
After clinching the Ashes early this year, the England team did an impromptu Sprinkler Dance to celebrate the victory. The dance involves holding an arm out and imitating the
jaunty rotation of a garden sprinkler. Soon the fans in the stands joined them.

When it comes to exaggerated celebrations, India pacer S Sreesanth takes the crown,
shows us some moves (read antics) before taking a bow.His pitch-banging effort after claiming Andrew Symonds' wicket in the first ODI in 2007.
_______________________________________________________
But Sreesanth's not only about aggression. He moved and grooved to celebrate his
success during the third Test against England in 2007 at the Oval.
_______________________________________________________
And on this occasion Sreesanth decided to combine his aggression and his dance move to silent South African pacer Andre Nel. Having being provoked, he hit Nel for a six an ran at the middle of the track swirling his bat like a sword and broke into war dance That was some sight.
_______________________________________________________
But you don't need to know the art to celebrate. During Bangladesh's match against
Ireland in the World Cup, all-rounder Mohammad Ashraful dismissed Andrew White to
break into dance that resembled a boxer warming-up in the ring.
_______________________________________________________
Ireland's Trent Johnston seems to have a funny bone too. After claiming the prized
wicket of Indian opener Virender Sehwag's wicket in the World Cup, all Johnston could do was some chicken dance.Typical Irish!
_______________________________________________________
But Johnston was not the first one. Shoaib Akhtar resembled a huge chicken when he
celebrated Kevin Pietersen's wicket during the 2005 Test series. Many say he mocked
KP's hairdo with his jig. We found it funny and hope Pietersen did it too.

Sourav Ganguly did a Salman Khan after India clinched NatWest Trophy in 2002.
Standing in the balcony of the sacrosanct Lord's, Ganguly took off his shirt soon after Zaheer struck the winning run. He swirled his shirt and had some nice words to say for his opponents.
_______________________________________________________
And this is what had instigated Ganguly to do a dare-bare act at the Lord's. Andrew
Flintoff had taken off his jersey at the Wankhede Stadium after beating the hosts in
February 2002.

And when we talk about animated celebrations, how can we forget Harbhajan Singh.
During the contentious Sydney Test in 2008, in which he was accused of calling
Andrew Symonds a 'monkey', Bhajji celebrated Ricky Ponting's wicket in the most
symbolic way. Take a look and decide it for yourself.

Not just cricket
Some of the Indian players currently touring the West Indies made most of the sun, sand and the water. A look at the Caribbean offerings this summer

No relaxation though for Harbhajan as he can be seen here climbing onto a jet ski, all se to try his hand driving on water

Harbjahan drives a Hummer back home but seems equally confident here as he sets of on his jet ski

Not to be left behind, Kohli jumps in to try his skills as well even as Harbhajan looks on in this photo.
_______________________________________________________
He may have failed to score a run in the previous match but Kohli's confidence on his
ride augers well for the team in the upcoming matches.
