Slipper hurled at Congress spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi A man tried to hit Congress spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi with a shoe during a press conference at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Monday.

The attacker, who tried to throw a shoe at Dwivedi, has been identified Sunil Kumar. He is reportedly a journalist from Rajasthan and claims to work for Nav Sanchar Patrika.

He asked a question on Baba Ramdev and then got up, climbed the stage where Dwivedi was sitting along with another part spokesperson Manish Tewari.

He was beaten up by the security personnel and other journalists and then taken out of the Congress office.

Kumar was earlier a school teacher with Vidya Bharti School in Sikar in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan from 1998 to 2000.
